Membership of the NZMPA offers the following
benefits -
Continuing education through Upgrading Courses to maintain and enhance
your skills, with financial members receiving discounted course fees.
NZMPA courses are accredited with the New Zealand College of Physiotherapy,
so College points may be gained for attending. Some courses are also
a pathway for joining the College, providing the College criteria are
met.
Bi-monthly newsletter - with free advertising in The Classifieds
for members.
Scientific Conference with the opportunity to hear speakers who are
working in the forefront of the profession.
Peer support and networking opportunities with professionals vitally
interested in promoting manual therapy.
Library service through the NZMPA Office.
The list of contents from each journal we subscribe to is published
in the newsletter, and members can request copies as they wish. NZMPA
also offers a video, book and tape loan service - again a list of titles
is published in the newsletter.
Reduced subscription rates to ‘Manual Therapy’ and the
new journal ‘Physical Therapy in Sport’ from Harcourt Brace.
Representation on the New Zealand College of Physiotherapy Executive
Council.

Research:
NZMPA has a Scholarship Trust Fund,
which may distribute up to $6,000.00 per annum towards suitable research
projects.
Funds may also be applied for to assist with travel to conferences and
meetings.
Research Group who work on your behalf investigating the latest literature,
research, and opinions on the subject of manual therapy.
Marketing:
The NZMPA has promotional pamphlets available (30 cents per pamphlet),
on Manipulative Physiotherapy. These are suitable for distributing to
Doctors, patients, etc, to market your practice.
NZMPA Website:
Names of graduate NZMPA physiotherapists are available on this website,
which may be accessed by physiotherapists who need to refer a patient
to another area, or for clients wishing to locate a graduate physiotherapist
