The New Zealand Manipulative Physiotherapists Association (NZMPA) was formed by an enthusiastic group of private physiotherapists, including the well-known names of Robin McKenzie and Brian Mulligan. They realised that to upskill their colleagues, they had to attend conferences and courses overseas, and then pass on the information locally. Postgraduate courses were offered, leading to the qualification Diploma of Manipulative Therapy (Dip MT), which is recognised worldwide. A booklet describing the NZMPA history was published at the organisation's 40th Anniversary in 2009. This can be downloaded below. |
